Overcome Your Fear
Learning to handstand can be a challenging process.
The fear of being upside down, which if you haven’t done before, can be pretty intimidating.
Practising on your own can take years to learn and still feel like you’re some way off a perfect handstand.

Learn Handstand Basics
At our handstand workshop, you will be taught the confidence to safely enter and exit a handstand.
You’ll learn drills that will allow you to practice your handstand and take it to the next level.
Why Our Students Love Us

Since starting in February, my balance and core strength have noticeably improved. What I appreciate most is Dave's personalised approach. I couldn't be happier with the results so far.

After a terrible neck issue left me feeling weak and discouraged, I was so grateful a friend recommended calisthenics. Dave has truly been a game-changer for me on my journey to recovery and strength.
Immediately I felt welcomed and supported. Dave's expertise and passion for calisthenics are evident in every session. He tailored a program specifically to address my needs and limitations, which was incredibly reassuring.
With each session, I've noticed a significant improvement in my strength and overall well-being. The progressive workouts and personalised guidance have not only helped me regain my physical strength but have also helped remove all those neck twinges and back pain you get when getting out of bed the wrong way.
If you're looking to strengthen your body, improve your fitness, or recover from an injury like I did, I wholeheartedly recommend Dave's Maximum Potential Calisthenics. It's a five-star experience all the way, and I'm grateful to be a part of this fantastic community!

Once you know what your goal is - there are many different types of classes to choose from that will help you on your path. Some early morning starts or even afternoon sessions after work. There is something for everyone Mon-Sat.
One great benefit of the classes is, you do have the ability to work at your own pace so there is no pressure at all. Do what works best for you at that time - all under the watchful eye of your trainer.
Again - its highly recommended. The time to make a start was yesterday.

They have trainers that are quite knowledgeable and very passionate about Callisthenics .
I have been part of this group for a few years now and Dave has really brought my strength to another level that I have never thought I would reach .
Recommend MPC to anyone !

I've learnt a ton in the last few months and can honestly say I've never had such excellent fitness outcomes!

Excellent trainers with a thorough knowledge of the body to help get the most out of your workouts and you’ll feel muscles you never knew you had.
You begin with foundations and safely move through progressions to more advanced exercises.
You’ll meet people from all walks of life with the same vigour for working out as you and having classes motivates you to get up and go.
I can’t recommend MPC enough and recommend anyone to try at least one session.

- Small class sizes.
- The quality of the training location, Turruwul Park, which has a comprehensive outdoor gym, good tree cover, and 2 tennis courts in which to practice handstands.
- The variety of classes available throughout the week (Pull Strength, Push Strength, Hand balancing, Mobility, Core, Bar Skills).
- The technical knowledge of the instructor (Nathan).
- The playful, social atmosphere of the classes.
After 8 weeks of attending these classes, my arms and shoulders are bigger, and my handstand has improved significantly. I would highly recommend MPC.

P. S.
Nathan knows Italian better than me, and I'm Italian!! Just unbelievable

You'll learn a wide range of body-weight exercises you can do without gym equipment, improve your mobility and flexibility as well as learn some advanced hand balancing.
I can say under Dave and the team I saw more improvement in my strength, mobility and general fitness in a year than many years of other training.

I enjoy calestheniics for many reasons, it's outdoors but doesn't have to be outdoors.
And personally I find that there's elements of meditation and art to the discipline, helping you grow stronger each day. Also, as someone who previously had one prolapsed disc in my lower back and some further nerve impingement higher up, its been a fantastic discovery to help regain my fitness. Keep it up guys. Thanks, Chris.

Dave, Nathan and Anthea know how to guide you to reach your goals whatever they are. My push ups got stronger, I can now do side to side pull ups and my dragon flag has never been this low and controlled. In addition to these, my skills are improving every week. My back lever is now solid and I'm starting to see good results from my front lever preparation too.
On top of that, it's real fun working out with these guys!

My entire experience with Maximum Potential Calisthenics has been awesome! I messaged them over the Christmas break and was surprised that they were able to organise a fitness assessment for me with Nathan in the first week of January 2021. I had a few concerns having NO previous calisthenics experience at all but Nathan was able to quickly put my mind at ease and I joined up in the second week of January.
Since joining I have only gone from strength to strength over the last 2 months…
- from never being able to do a handstand (fear of falling on my head) to now progressing to do a wall handstand hold (28 sec).
- from never being able to do a pull up or chin up unassisted to doing 2 pull ups and 4 chin ups unassisted
- my maximum deadlifts in December 2020 was 80kg, February 2021 is 130kg (attribute this largely to the improvement in the grip strength required for calisthenics)
Nathan is an awesome coach and takes the time to find out your goals and weaknesses so you can improve on them. The crew that show up to Turruwul Park are awesome, very friendly and supportive. Am sure the rest of the MPC coaches are just as great and have no hesitation in recommending them if you want to give it a go (which you should). My only regret is not having done it sooner!

I came in mid-September not knowing a thing. Three-ish months later, I’ve got a solid training regime and am feeling stronger than ever.
The MPC crew is great at keeping check of your progress so you don’t stagnate. They also get the best out of you each session without it being a slog. The crowd that shows up (for group sessions) is a solid bunch, too.
I started by reaching out to Dave via phone. He called back and patiently took in my situation. We even had a quick 1:1 session to figure out where I’d start, if I chose to join. I’d recommend doing the same.

The community in maximum potential calisthenics is fantastic and I enjoy coming to every session :)
