We’ve got four days to go until the City2Surf, if you’ve been following my blog you’ll know I’m aiming for under 60 minutes and have been training pretty hard to try and achieve this. This week I’ve been taking it easy to try and get my body well rested in time for the race.
Yesterday I went for a slower run, only going at 5:30/km pace. Unfortunately I seemed to forget that my running form drops when I go slower as I don’t lift my knee as much as I should and as a result I got severe cramp and tightness in my right calf. It’s still sore now and exceedingly tight but a lot better than yesterday and am pretty optimistic it won’t slow me down on Sunday.
For the rest of the week I’ve got my Push, Pull, HSP and Grip work tomorrow but have cancelled my Legs, Bridges, Core and HF session on Friday so that I can get some extra rest.
