In May I will be racing in the Sydney Half Marathon, only this time I’ll be raising money for a charity which is very close to a very good friend of mine. A couple of years ago Yury’s son, Oscar, was born a month premature. Since then Yury has ran this race every year for the charity Running for Premature Babies.
I had my first running session with the team today, a nice 7km run plus 3km to run to the park and another 3km back, which is a distance I haven’t ran since Tough Mudder in October.
I’ll be seeing if I can get some fundraising ideas together and am thinking of doing the race in fancy dress, which is something I’ve never done before. Stay tuned for more updates.
