Today I took a video of myself doing a few pistol squats. The form isn’t perfect, my standing leg certainly struggles for stability and my idle leg needs to be a little straighter, furthermore my right leg is a lot weaker than my left but I’m making progress. I took Neil Bendnar’s advice I alternate legs, this allows me to not burn one of the legs out before doing the other and keeps my legs balanced.
The pistol squat is widely considered the ultimate bodyweight leg feat, requiring strength, stability and flexibility.
However, athletes are constantly looking for new ways to push their strength potential. Enter the dragon pistol squat!
