Maximum Potential Calisthenics

Negative One Arm Pullups

I posted last week that I had had a bad day of training and included a video of my poor effort at one arm negative pullups. This week I decided to try again only this time I did it before any other exercises to ensure I was fresh. Have to admit I’m pretty pleased with the result although the video clearly shows I’m a lot weaker in my left arm.

Doing the exercise first was obviously very good for my capability with this but the rest of my uneven ring pullups were pretty poor but that’s okay, can put more emphasis on them next week.

I also finally progressed on grip training, completing uneven towel hang 4 x 1 minutes. For those of you who haven’t read Convict Conditioning 2, this basically involves hanging with one arm on a towel and one on the bar, next week I’ll be onto one arm hanging.
