Turruwul Park Outdoor Gym

Turruwul Park is located in the inner Sydney suburb of Rosebery and is home to an impressive outdoor gym.

You can find the gym on Rothschild Avenue, close to the corner of Harcourt Parade.

The outdoor gym is sectioned in to two main areas: one for the calisthenics bars and an area with a few fitness machines, such as a cross-trainer and stationary bike.

The bars are laid out jungle-gym style at different heights, with low rings, a bar for human flags and monkey bars. There are benches next to the bars with inbuilt curved bars which are perfect for seated dips and L-sits.

Next to the bars are some benches for ab exercises such as dragon flags.

There is a wall nearby with a TRX station or High Bar built in, which could also be used for pull-ups.

Park Amenities

Adjacent to the fitness stations is a mini tennis court with hit-up wall and behind this is a basket ball court.

There is a large field (currently fenced off) and on the other side of this are tennis courts (kid friendly), a toilet block, covered BBQ area and a kids playground. The park gets plenty of shade provided by the numerous trees lining the park and its got a great vibe.

If you need a coffee or something to eat, Black Star Pastry is 5 minutes away on Hayes Road, as is the Cannery which is home to various cafes and shops.

Getting to Turruwul Park

The closest train station is Green Park which is about a 20 minute walk, alternatively Mascot Station is only a few minutes further.

If you are driving there is plenty of parking as the park is bordered by 4 streets.

Parking at Turruwul Park

The 343 bus stops right outside the park on Rothschild Avenue, otherwise 309, 309X, 310X and M20 stop on Botany Road and the 343, 357 and 418 stop on Gardners Road a couple of blocks away.
