Last week at the work bootcamp one of the exercises that we performed was a deadlift, unfortunately I had a moment where my ego got the better of me and considering I hardly ever lift weights let along deadlifts, I lifted a weight that was probably a little too heavy for me.

Though I didn’t feel it at the time, I later found I had a sore upper back, since seeing my personal trainer and a sports masseuse I’ve found out that I’ve slightly strained my longissimus thoracis. I’m quite frustrated by this especially as I’ve been making such good process recently but putting it into perspective this is the first non-running related injury I’ve had in a year and a half and it’s not too serious so hopefully will be back doing muscle ups in no time.
